Rio Olympics 2016

Hello bloggers

The Olympics have started and it has been awesome. Today I am going to tell you about the Olympics. Australia have started extremely well and we already have 6 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 9 bronze medals. It has been a great start to the Olympics and all countries are doing really well. The opening ceremony was amazing and it showed the way they believe their country was found. There are more than 11,000 athletes and 206 countries participating. This Olympics there are 306 events and 28 sports to compete in.

In the Rio Olympics Australia won two gold medals on the opening night. Mack Horton swam a significant 400 m freestyle and won gold. Emma Mckeon, Brittney Elmslie, Madison Wilson, Bronte Campbell and Cate Campbell were included in the 4 x 100 m Womens freestyle relay. The two races were floor less and they really deserved gold.

Go Australia 🙂

It has been a great start to the Olympics and I cant wait for more of it. 🙂

  1. Hey Ash. This is the first time I have had a look at your blog. It’s great. Thanks for sending me the link. I didn’t realise that Australia did so well in Rio. All we heard about in Ireland was of course, the Irish athletes. We got some medals too. Not as many as Australia of course. Hope you are well. Congratulations on being picked on the Victorian cricket team. That’s just great. Go Ash! From your Auntie Smelly, xx
